Pastor Dick Conners

Pastor Dick Conners has ministered at Ceres First Baptist since 2006, having first served as Associate Pastor and installed as Senior Pastor in January of 2010. He and his wife, Alice have been married since 1997 and have five children, two boys and three girls. Though born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dick grew up in the states of Virginia and Georgia and came to faith in Christ as a young boy. He is grateful for God’s grace, providing him, and his two sisters, with parents whom both knew the Lord and raised him to follow Jesus Christ and to love and trust the Scriptures. Dick earned a BA from Furman University (Greenville, SC) in 1991 and in 1997 a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from The Master’s Seminary (Sun Valley, CA).

Dick and Alice met while he was a student at the seminary and married a month after graduation. He has ministered in churches in Georgia, South Carolina and Central and Southern California since 1989. An Eagle Scout and former Assistant Scout Master, Dick’s enjoys the outdoors, especially camping, hiking. His interests also include reading (theology, 19th Century American history, Civil War, and anything on Abraham Lincoln and selective high fantasy), perusing old used book stores, and ukulele. You may also find him following English Premier League soccer, SEC and NFL football and, of course, rooting for the Steelers!
